RATES

A FREE 30 Minute Consultation is available for all prospective students. These are an opportunity for you to try out the online format and talk with me about your musical interests and goals. Schedule your consultation quickly and easily here.

Weekly Rates are billed in monthly bundles of 4 lessons.

• 30 minutes weekly: $220/month ($55 per lesson)
• 50 minutes weekly: $360/month ($90 per lesson)

Non-Weekly Rates apply to lessons scheduled irregularly or less frequently than once a week.

• 30 minutes: $70
• 50 minutes: $110

General Lesson Policies

• Please be on time.
• If studying guitar, banjo, or fiddle, please bring your own instrument and whatever accessories you require (picks, finger picks, capo, extra strings, bow, rosin, etc.).

ONLINE LESSONS

• Online Students will meet using Microsoft Teams. Please download, create an account, and familiarize yourself with the program before beginning lessons. I will be limited in my ability to provide tech support, as the program’s visual layout and functionality varies depending on the device (e.g. laptop/tablet) and operating system (e.g. Apple/Windows).
• You will find instructions on how to connect with when you book a consultation or lesson.
• I will always call online students to initiate the lesson. Please DO NOT CALL ME so as not to disturb a lesson prior to yours.

Payment Policy

• The smartphone app Venmo is currently the preferred payment method. Instructions regarding this will be emailed to you after our lesson schedule is confirmed.
• Students should always wait for me to send a payment request to ensure proper accounting.
• Payment must be completed before the beginning of the first lesson of a month.

Scheduling

• For weekly students, I will always oblige myself to be available for 4 lessons at our standard time, or else pro-rate your monthly fee. If this becomes a frequent necessity (e.g. several months in a row) due to the student, the student’s billing may be switched to the “per lesson” rate described above at my discretion.
• In instances where there are five lesson days in a month (e.g. 5 Tuesdays in a month), I will likely take one lesson date off and notify you in the month prior. 

Lesson Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Teacher

• • If I am forced to cancel a billed lesson for any reason, the student may choose one of these options:
    • Reschedule the the lesson within thirty (30) days
    • Credit the tuition of the cancelled lesson towards the following month’s invoice

Cancellation by Student

• • Students must notify of missed lessons at least 24-hours in advance. Email is preferred.
  • There are NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS available if less than 24-hours notice is given.
  • If more than 24-hours notice is given, students may request via email a makeup lesson to be held within 30 days of the cancelled lesson date, or else credit the lesson towards the next month’s bill.
  • A student who does not notify me of a cancellation/missed lesson prior to the lesson time (“No Call; No Show”) forfeits the fee for that lesson and is not eligible for a make-up lesson.

Cessation of Lessons

• If the student wishes to be permanently removed from my studio schedule, notification is required prior to the next billing cycle (month). NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS will be given to students who cease lessons in the middle of a pre-paid billing cycle.
